Brief Bio :
Dr. Vivek Kumar is a renowned pulmonologist with over 7 years of experience in the field of Pulmonary Medicine. He completed his MD from the prestigious Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute, Delhi University and became the first DM (Pulmonary Medicine) graduate from Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Jammu & Kashmir. He also holds a DNB in Respiratory Medicine from the National Board. Dr. Kumar received specialized training in Lung Transplantation at KIMS Hospitals, one of the world’s leading heart and lung transplant centers. Additionally, he has completed a Clinical Fellowship in Sleep Medicine and earned the European Diploma in Adult Respiratory Medicine (EDARM) from the European Respiratory Society (ERS). He has extensive expertise in managing a wide range of respiratory illnesses, including allergies, asthma, COPD, tuberculosis, interstitial lung disease (ILD), lung cancer, pneumonia, obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), critical care, lung transplantation, and end-stage lung diseases. Dr. Kumar is highly skilled in advanced pulmonary procedures such as flexible and rigid bronchoscopy, endobronchial and transbronchial biopsies, TBNA, radial and convex EBUS, thoracoscopy, and ECMO.
